Your first thoughts, as you open your eyes and begin your morning, impact the trajectory of your day.
When you awake in the morning, are you fully aware of your thoughts?
Many of us hear them, but do not think of being AWARE of them.
What are you hearing?
Ugh, it’s Monday.
Ugh, this sucks.
Ugh, I hate getting up this early.
Man, I have to do this again.
If you are, it's time to begin having full awareness and looking at your thoughts as seeds that can either grow into fruits or weeds.
It’s time to weed your mental garden.
How?
Begin to become aware of your thoughts in the morning by paying attention to them, but instead of letting them consume you and your feelings, pull them out and plant a new seed.
For example, when you hear...
Ugh, it’s Monday (weed).
Let it go and plant a seed.
You know what, I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to wake up and provide for my family today.
I am grateful that I have a job.
I am grateful to be able to put a smile on someone's face today.
Weed Ugh this sucks
Seed Thank you God for this day.
Weed I hate getting up this early
Seed Great, I get some time to slow down and sip some coffee OR if headed to a job you hate…
I can listen to a podcast to learn something I’m interested in growing on the way.
Weed Man, I have to do this again
Seed Awesome, I get to do this again. I get a chance to do better. OR I have the opportunity to make different choices today.
It will take some time for this “seed planting” to sprout, overcome the weeds and renew your mind. However, the more you become aware and put in the action of pulling and planting you will find over time a renewal of your mind, that is abundant in pleasing fruits.
The point here is YOU have all the control over your mindset. You just need to choose to wake up in consciousness (awareness), pull the weed, choose your seed and plant it for your future. Water these seeds (thoughts) daily and watch your fruits grow.

Love this!
